Students from all countries are eligible. You will need to:
have received an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course for 2026 at The University of Western Australia
have achieved an equivalent:
- minimum ATAR 85.00; or
- minimum WAM 65.00
- If studying an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00
Undergraduate eligibility
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible undergraduate bachelor degree or Assured Pathway course. The following exclusions apply:
- Assured Pathway to Medicine
- Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine
Postgraduate eligibility
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible postgraduate degree (by coursework). The following exclusions apply:
- Juris Doctor (20820)
- Doctor of Medicine (91850)
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (91860)
- Doctor of Optometry (91590)
- UWA Micro-credentials
Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelors & Master’s (CBM) eligibility
All Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are considered eligible.
Whilst most of these degrees are over four years (based on 8 semesters of full time study), the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce; and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science; are over five years (based on 10 semesters of full time study) and as such, eligible students will receive up to AUD $60,000 over five years (yearly eligible amounts based on WAM).
