The W. P. Carey School of Accountancy works closely with its Professional Advisory Board to create a learning environment that emulates the real world by exploring applied processes and strategies. The BS program in accountancy prepares students by equipping them with critical thinking, team-building, communication and information technology skills along with accounting theories and procedures.
Global Experience
Study abroad experiences open up new doors for accountancy majors. Students gain valuable skills employers want, such as communication, interpersonal skills and flexibility, and understanding international accounting methods helps students become more well-rounded and competitive in the accounting field. Students benefit from thinking about study abroad early, allowing for opportunities to take summer courses in places like Costa Rica or studying a full semester in Europe to gain a real-life perspective on business applications worldwide.
