Applied Learning Requirement:
To satisfy the applied-learning requirement for foreign language, a student must complete 3 credit hours of study abroad (at the intermediate level or above) or 3 credit hours of internship, directed individual study, practicum, honors, or service learning.
Oral Communication Requirement:
To satisfy the oral communication requirement for the B.A. degree in Spanish a student must successfully complete SPN 303.
Requirements for a Major in Spanish for the B.A. Degree:
36 hours (Twelve (12) must be SPN 303, SPN 305, SPN 306 and SPN 307; at least six (6) must be at the 400 level, and up to six (6) may be at the 200 level.) Only 3 hours at the 400 level may be obtained by means of SPN 490, SPN 491, SPN 498, or SPN 499.
Additional Information:
A grade of “C-” or better is required in each course counted toward the major and a “C” (2.00) average or better for all courses counted toward the major.
