The BAE program in early childhood education prepares students to meet the educational, behavioral and social-emotional needs of children, ages birth to age 8 or grade 3. This program focuses on child development and best practices in early childhood education, including the skills to create inclusive learning environments; conduct instructional design, planning and facilitation; and assess, monitor and report the progress of young children.
Global Experience
Future educators must learn to create inclusive and inspiring learning environments, and they can do this by expanding their horizons through study abroad.
Career Opportunities/p>
There is a strong demand for early childhood educators in Arizona and nationwide. Many graduates with a degree in early childhood education hold leadership positions in Head Start, private non-profit and private for-profit center-based programs, and public school early childhood environments.

You’re considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.
First-year students must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school.
English proficiency
TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) - the minimum score is 61 (iBT)
TOEFL pBT (paper-based test) - minimum score is 57
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - The overall band score requirement for the academic test is at least 6.0.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - ASU requires a score of at least 53.
Duolingo English test - minimum score of 95.
Application deadline: Spring - November 1; Fall - May 1.
