The BS program in medical studies provides students with the opportunity to meet the prerequisites for medical and professional school, including medicine (MD, DO and naturopathic), dentistry, physician assistant programs, pharmacy, occupational therapy, optometry and others, and prepares the student for required postgraduate entrance exams, including the revised MCAT.
Global Experience
Students pursuing medical studies who study abroad can advance their cultural awareness, medical experience and global health understanding. Programs in places like the United Kingdom, Costa Rica and Peru expand a student's knowledge of culturally specific health approaches while helping them develop strategies to adapt to unique social circumstances. Study abroad is a chance to fine-tune communication, critical thinking and leadership capabilities while taking advantage of opportunities for research, internships and service.

Graduates are academically prepared, well-rounded and adept in skills for a number of exciting careers in the allied health fields, dentistry or medicine, education, government, health care industries or non-profit organizations. You’re considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.
First-year students must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school.
English proficiency
TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) - the minimum score is 61 (iBT)
TOEFL pBT (paper-based test) - minimum score is 57
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - The overall band score requirement for the academic test is at least 6.0.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - ASU requires a score of at least 53.
Duolingo English test - minimum score of 95.
Application deadline: Spring - November 1; Fall - May 1.
