The Master of Science in Engineering Management was developed to meet the need for professional leaders in engineering and technical settings, with a focus on manufacturing and service operations. It ''bridges the gap'' between engineering and management and focuses on leadership and the skills necessary to manage people, money and projects. The program is anchored in the Engineering Management Body of Knowledge from the American Society for Engineering Management.Its objectives are:To develop leadership capabilities and significant managerial skills to augment the student’s strong technical background.To enhance the capabilities to deal with resources available for managing people, money, and projects.To develop advanced analytical and managerial skills and to acquire knowledge in related fields.To develop the ability to integrate technical, managerial and systems skills to improve the performance of the enterprise.To prepare students for further study in post-master’s and doctoral programs as their interest and professional growth require.

Requerimiento de entrada

Possess a baccalaureate degree with a major in a technical field, such as engineering, technology, mathematics, computer science, or the physical sciences. Show evidence of completion of at least eight semester hours of mathematics with a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 in those courses.

Para estudiantes internacionales

Possess a baccalaureate degree with a major in a technical field, such as engineering, technology, mathematics, computer science, or the physical sciences.
Show evidence of completion of at least eight semester hours of mathematics with a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5 in those courses.
Submit GRE (Graduate Record Examination) scores for the General Test.

Undergraduate courses should have been completed in calculus, statistics, computer programming, work methods analysis, operations planning and control, and quality control. Where the students background is deficient, foundation courses will be required. Students may take IEE 5010 to acquire an understanding of work methods analysis, operations planning and control, and quality control.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 iBT

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6.5

Pearson Test of English, Academic Module (PTE): 54

Michigan English Test (MET): 57

Application deadlines:

Fall: April 1; Spring: August 1
