The Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Science prepares the recipient to work in fields related to meteorology, weather and forecasting, air quality, climate change and environmental regulation.

Approval of research plan by the graduate committee
Colloquium and oral defense of M.S. thesis
Approval of M.S. thesis by the graduate committee
A minimum of 30 hours of acceptable graduate credit hours that includes at least:
26 hours of acceptable graduate coursework and
4 hours of thesis research
21 graduate credits must be earned in the Department of Atmospheric Science

Provide Official Proof of English Proficiency
The University of Wyoming accepts a variety of English proficiency exams. While the most popular are TOEFL (540 or 76 minimum for iBT), IELTS (6.5 minimum), Duolingo (110), and Cambridge English B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency (176 minimum).
