On campus living is currently optional, but quarantine seems to have made this year’s freshman class less ready for off campus living. We want to make sure that they have a support system in place, which they will have in the dorms.

As a NASPAA-accredited program, UMSL's MPPA is ranked in the top third of graduate public affairs programs by US News and World Report and is the highest ranked in St. Louis. The MPPA is a 40-credit-hour program led by 16 core faculty and adjunct instructors who are committed to your success.
UMSL's Public Policy Administration program educates students to become leaders in improving our communities and society and to make informed policy decisions. We prepare students for careers in public policy, public administration, and nonprofit administration.

Graduate Record Examination
GRE scores are not required. However, if you believe it would help your case, you are welcome to take the GRE and submit your scores
International students are required to document English proficiency by providing scores from an internationally accepted standardized examination before a decision is made on admission.
Grade Point Average
Minimum of 3.0 on 4.0 scale is required. Applicants with GPA below 3.0 will be considered on an individual basis.
Proof of English proficiency
Minimum requirements vary by department. It is recommended that students have a 79 TOEFL, 6.5 IELTS, or 53 PTE-A.
