In the Health Promotion teaching program, you will prepare for P-12 certification to teach health education to children and youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Our program also offers a double major in Kinesiology and Health Promotion for those who are interested in teaching both Kinesiology (physical education) and health promotion. Graduates of our program may also choose to continue to graduate school in a health-related area or purse work in a community health setting.

Freshman Admission: Applicants who have not attended a college or university upon completion of secondary school AND who have met all requirements, including English proficiency, as noted below. Conditional Admission: Applicants who meet UK’s academic requirements for admission but do not meet the minimum language proficiency requirement or the departmental specific requirements (such as certain SAT/ACT math scores for Engineering and Nursing).
