The Natural History Major is similar to the Biology Major, but is less technical and more descriptive. Interested students should contact the program chairperson.
The College of Arts and Sciences is the historic core of the University of La Verne. All majors provide students with the foundation of a liberal arts education, grant opportunities to reflect on values and questions of meaning, and build skills to meet the challenges of the 21st-century workplace. Faculty prepare graduates to think critically and creatively about local, national, and global problems. A degree from the college does more than prepare students for a career, though – it prepares them for a full, rich, and rewarding life.
