CMU's therapeutic recreation program is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and practical experience necessary to become a nationally certified therapeutic recreation specialist. In our major, students will learn how to provide functional treatment services and recreational activities for those within a community with intellectual disabilities, emotional impairments, physical disabilities, chemical dependency or seniors with disabilities.

Students are required to complete all secondary and post-secondary institutions.

Students competing in intercollegiate athletics must submit a qualifying ACT or SAT score to meet NCAA eligibility requirements. Apply by May 15 if you are beginning classes in the fall semester. Apply by October 1 to begin classes in the spring semester.
