¿Qué aprenderé?

The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences offers two undergraduate degree programs, one leading to a Bachelor’s of Art degree in biology and the other leading to a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biological sciences. This program provides a comprehensive overview of biological sciences, working from the molecular level up through ecosystems. The program is suitable for students who are interested in the biological sciences, who are interested in a career in biological research, or who may be applying toward candidacy in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, and allied health sciences fields.

Applicants must have completed a high school. Other English Language Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Required scores: 80 (Internet-based TOEFL), 550 (paper-based TOEFL) or 6.5 IELTS.

International applicant must have a completion of a course of study equivalent to that required of a U. S. citizen. For Freshman Admission, high school transcripts need only be evaluated to determine U.S. high school equivalency.

The applicant must be adequately proficient in English to pursue a course of study at the University.

  • A score of at least 550 paper based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • A score of at least 213 computer based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • A score of at least 79 Internet based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • IELTS: Overall band 6.0 or Higher
