This program prepares students for a major in accounting. The courses will prepare students for advanced study at a four-year institution or assist students in preparation for a business accounting career.

Accounting is the essential language of business, and having a professional command of that language can open many doors of opportunity in the management of virtually any business or organization.
Butler's Accounting degrees and certifications are fully accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. A variety of scholarships are available, some of which are offered in association with area universities. Our program is structured to give you options depending on your career goals.
Our associate’s degree is designed for students who want to pursue a bachelor degree. We even have a bachelor’s degree completion agreement set up with Kansas State University. Our Accounting Assistant associate degree lets you enter the job market with a two-year degree, while our certification program prepares you for an entry-level position in just one year.
With class sizes that are capped at just 25 students, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to interact with your instructors. And all of them are experienced practitioners of accounting who know how to prepare you for the real world. You’ll learn in a highly supportive, pro-student culture exemplified by our accounting student organization, Phi Beta Lambda. All students who have not taken the ACT or SAT within the last 3 years or have had no previous college English or math courses are required to take a placement test prior to enrolling in English or mathematics courses.
International students must have graduated from the equivalent of a U.S. high school (12 years of education). If English is not an official language of your country or your English grade is below a “C” average, you will need to submit a document to meet our English proficiency requirement.
