The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is designed for the student who plans to transition to Broward College's Teacher Education program (2+2) or transfer to a Florida public university as a junior to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Education. A student who earns an A.A. degree from Broward College meets the lower division general education requirements of a Florida state university, but does not automatically meet the requirements for a particular major.
The mission of the Teacher Education Program is to provide future and current teachers with a progressive and accessible teacher preparation program that enables them to be highly qualified educators to positively impact teaching and learning in diverse communities.
