Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, the student will have the skills necessary to be successful in upper division courses at the university. The student will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to understand and analyse knowledge specific to kinesiology; exhibit knowledge of the skeletal and neuromuscular structures of the human body; demonstrate oral and written communication that meets appropriate professional and scientific standards in kinesiology; perform basic motor skills and apply a variety of concepts, theories, and methods common to kinesiology to bridge the gap between theory and practice; and apply and access universal risk management tools used to promote safe practices in physical activity.

The Kinesiology AA-T degree requires completion of the major and the CSU General Education (40 units) or IGETC (37-39 units) requirements.
