Designed in line with The International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) coaching degree standards, this course employs a blend of technology enhanced coaching and hands-on experience via placement modules, preparing you for a digital world and offering mentorship within professional environments. Our employability modules enable you to explore a career in coaching and you will have opportunities to participate in career development activities each year, networking with employers from the world of sports business and building towards obtaining the University of Wolverhampton Enterprise & Employability Award. This experience and these qualifications will aid in your future career planning, opening employment opportunities in a wide range of occupations.
What's unique about this course?
Partnerships – between 2020 – 2023 as part of their course, students have worked with a range of local and national organisations including: British Judo, England Squash, Commonwealth Games, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and West Bromwich Albion FC.
Work-based and placement learning - through out established partnerships, students are provided with real-world learning opportunities embedded throughout the course including a year-long placement module during the second year of study.
EDI – lecturing staff on the course are Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practitioners, specialising in Gender, Race, Disability and LGBTQ+ equality.
