Our school is home to a world-renowned sensory neuroscience research group. Their projects provide the basis for teaching and research training on this MSc.

The course covers molecular, cell and developmental biology of auditory and visual systems. Advanced imaging and behavioural analysis focus on information processing from sensory transduction to the central nervous system and behaviour. You’ll also study animal models of sensory deficits and the development of therapeutic treatments for hearing loss and blindness.

Students who hold a good undergraduate four year bachelor degree and high grades in relevant individual subjects from an accredited university or college in the USA will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or masters programmes. For entry to MBA students need a good four year bachelor degree from an accredited university or college in the USA and at least 3 years´ post-graduation work experience. They must be at least 25 years old by the time the programme starts. Students with a lower GPA and considerable work experience may be considered. Postgraduate applicants are required to achieve a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Para estudiantes internacionales

A 2:1 honours degree in a biomedical-related subject. We also accept medical students who wish to intercalate their studies. Students need to have an overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component. TOEFL: Overall score of 88 with a minimum of 19 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 22 in Speaking and 19 in Writing.
