This course is aimed at students who have a substantial background in computing and want to study advanced computing concepts and technologies in more depth.

This taught postgraduate course offers you the opportunity to study a wide variety of topics in depth with dedicated experts.

Professional accreditation

Our MSc in Advanced Computing is professionally accredited by the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) until and including the 2022-23 academic year.

Holding an accredited degree allows you to meet the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). Registering as a Chartered Engineer will help provide improved career prospects, status, higher earning potential. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree. The minimum requirement is based on the university's selectivity ranking; from the most competitive we look for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3/4 to 3.25/4 or better. From other mainstream universities we look for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4 or better. Departments may require a higher grade from particular institutions.

Para estudiantes internacionales

Students need to have a minimum requirement of first-class degree in a subject with a substantial computing component. All candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the College. Students need to have IELTS – Academic (Test-Centre/UKVI SELT/Online) with 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in all elements) for Standard level and 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements) for Higher level. TOEFL iBT with 92 overall (minimum 20 in all elements) for Standard and 100 overall (minimum 22 in all elements) for Higher level.
