Keynote presentations are also part of this conference and recent conferences have seen Hugh Masters, Associate Chief Nursing Officer from the Scottish Government and Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health address students.Career prospectsGraduates are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse in mental health. Depending on your chosen specialism you can work as a Registered Nurse within a hospital or community setting in the UK or EU countries and certain states in the USA or Australia. Job opportunities are excellent with attractive starting salaries.Placement/Work-based learningPractice experience is available throughout NHS Ayrshire and Arran; Greater Glasgow and Clyde; Lanarkshire; Dumfries and Galloway; and Highland (Argyll).
