Our MSc Lifestyle Medicine course is designed to develop skilled professionals who are able to think critically and innovate within this increasingly important field.

You’ll learn how to deliver effective management strategies and bring about improved standards within health and wellbeing-related services.

This course is ideal if you’re working in Primary Care, Physiotherapy, Sports and Exercise Medicine, or Public Health. You’ll study exciting and contemporary modules which will enable you to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.

During the programme you will be given opportunities to evaluate theory, practice and associated research in a way which aligns with your career ambitions and your role working with ‘at risk’ groups or communities.

You can study this course in a flexible way which fits around your current role and other commitments, working at your own pace to achieve either a Postgraduate Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine (60 credits), Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or MSc (180 credits).

The course provides a framework for individuals who are involved in planning and commissioning services, as well as those who work directly in the delivery of services which aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes using a lifestyle medicine approach.

The need for expertise in this field has been highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic, where people are at risk of developing, or being diagnosed with, comorbidities and long-term conditions.

Requerimiento de entrada

Students need to have bachelors Degree from reputable university with GPA 2.6/4 for 2:2 or GPA 3.2/4 for 2:1.

Para estudiantes internacionales

Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements: Applicants must have completed at least Year 3 MBChB (MBBS) qualification or relevant qualification for example in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation or Allied Health Professional. Be actively engaged in or access professional experience in a Sports and Exercise Medicine practice or Public Health service development or service delivery in order to support learning within the programme. Non-medical applicants are expected to have a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent relevant experience.
