These share the same core Law components as the LLB Single Honours but allow you to study another subject alongside Law to gain different insights and experience to build your own career pathway. The foundation year helps you develop the study skills and self-confidence needed for higher education when you don’t reach the entry requirements for your subject or you need a grounding in a new subject area. On successful completion of the foundation year, you will join Year 1 of the LLB (Hons) Law with Business degree. On this course you will join a challenging, vibrant and friendly community, led by an experienced team of academics, practitioners, solicitors, barristers and international lawyers. Your Qualifying Law degree will enable you to progress to the vocational stage of lawyer’s training, to qualify as either a solicitor or barrister. This original and innovative course has been designed in consultation with senior managers to give you both a theoretical and practical experience. As part of your degree, you will have the option to get involved with practical justice including opportunities to shadow a local judge and experience live mediations from our in-house Medication Clinic. Through our strong links with the local community, Citizens Advice, and local courts, you will have the opportunity to act as a Community Legal Companion for unrepresented parties at court.
