Inspired by the liberal arts, our innovative Economics BSc (Hons) is designed to provide students with rigorous and in-depth study of Economics, while developing a range of practical transferable skills and exploring a variety of complementary academic subjects. Our students enjoy the flexibility to create their own academic pathway from a wide range of elective courses, designed to contextualise their studies beyond academia. These electives foster the skills and experiences to inspire and empower students to have a meaningful impact. Experiential opportunities, which are credit-bearing and co-designed with partners in industry, community, and research, offer our students the possibility of driving real-world change while working towards their degree.**Key Features**- Study 28 credit-bearing courses and undertake a 30 credit-bearing dissertation, over three years, leading to your 360-credit undergraduate honours degree.- Focus your degree on the in-depth exploration of Economics with a minimum of 50% of your courses in this subject.- Enjoy the flexibility to create your own degree pathway by choosing additional courses from a broad range including Depth, Disciplinary and Interdisciplinary Electives.- Choose Depth Elective Courses to study additional in-depth courses to further specialise in Economics.- Choose Disciplinary Electives to branch out into other subjects such as: Aesthetics, Criminology, Experimental Psychology, Global Politics in the Digital Age, Global Social Responsibility, Green Political Thought, Principles of Machine Learning and The Industry of Art. - Choose Interdisciplinary Electives to explore the big issues that need agile thinking that crosses subject boundaries, such as: AI and Data Ethics, Data Visualisation, Sustainable Development, Technology & Human Values, and Urban Informatics.- Engage with faculty research projects, external partners, and potential future employers to drive real-world change through experiential opportunities that count towards your degree. - Acquire the skills and experience that will empower you to make a meaningful impact such as analysing and using data, advocacy, negotiation, writing across audiences and genres, interpreting cultures and institutions, employing ethical and social reasoning, and engaging with emerging technologies.- Work with your Careers Advisors to help identify ambitions, develop your personal narrative, and plan for personal and professional experiences. - Learn how to succeed in the different aspects of marketing yourself to potential employers, from initial application form to final interview.

For the Economics Major, you must achieve a minimum of grade B in Mathematics at A Level.Students studying the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) alongside three A Levels may be eligible for an alternative offer.Please note that A Level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by NCH as one of your A Levels. We do not accept native language A Levels as part of your A Level offering.
