Overview

This HND in Digital Photography & Videography is the latest addition to the Creative Media Production suite offered through the Belfast Met Film and TV School, situated in our state-of-the-art E3 campus.

This course seeks to address the need for a dedicated camera-centric course for those seeking to enter the creative industry as photographers, videographers and cinematographers. Like its other Creative Media Production counterparts, this Digital Photography & Videography HND places a strong emphasis on the development of highly practical and industry-relevant skills. In doing so, it equips our graduates to leave the course with confidence, experience, and a professional portfolio.

The course itself is tailored to the varied and expanding expectations of a modern photographer or cinematographer in the UK and, therefore, includes several bespoke units designed by our lecturing team.

The camera we recommend is Canon EOS 600D or equivalent. It is not essential that students purchase this as the college will have equipment, but it would be beneficial.

Career Prospects

Successful graduates can follow career paths within the creative industry: fine art practice, photography, advertising, photography critic/writer or continue into HND and BA (Hons) Degree programmes.
