¿Qué aprenderé?

Our Accounting and Finance course (with Foundation Year) is a four-year course with an integrated foundation year which leads to the same qualification as our three-year honours degree. It has been specifically designed for those wanting to undertake degree-level study but who may not meet the entry requirements or have traditional qualifications. The Foundation Year (Year 0) offers you the chance to expand and strengthen your confidence, skills and knowledge – ensuring that you are well-prepared and qualified to progress into Year 1 of the undergraduate degree.By studying for a degree in Accounting and Finance, you will acquire skills that are central to the management of organisations, for measuring performance and maintaining the cash flows that are essential for the prosperity of any private company or public sector organisation.Accounting is much more than just the mechanical manipulation of financial data to produce company accounts. The methods for preparing accounting information must be applied with judgement, and with an understanding of the purposes for which the information will be used. A wide range of decision makers need to understand the key principles which underpin a cost or profit figure produced by an accountant. Our programme is accredited by all the major accountancy bodies (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA Australia, CIPFA) providing graduates with exemptions from many of these bodies’ core examinations. This is a huge advantage, as the exemptions will reduce the number of exams you need to sit and pass, allowing you more time to focus on developing your career.‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time. You can find more information about these options on our website and if you have any questions, please get in touch.INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:If you are an international student your recommended route of study for this degree is through our International College. Successful completion of Year 0 of the equivalent International programme guarantees entry to Year 1 of the same Bangor University degree programme. Through this route, Year 0 is delivered at Bangor University International College (BUIC) located at the heart of our University Campus and run by our partner, Oxford International Education Group. For more information, visit: www.bangor.ac.uk/buic/

We can also accept transfer students who have completed one or two years at a community college or university. These applications are reviewed on a case by case basis and students generally transfer into year 1 or year 2 for the remainder of their degree. Entry onto undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is dependent on academic qualifications and English Language Level. Applicants from USA need NOT provide additional evidence of English Language ability, if previous education was with English medium of instruction. Otherwise, an IELTS overall 6.0 with 5.5 in each component or equivalent is normally required (some courses may require a higher score).

Puede haber diferentes requisitos de IELTS en función del curso elegido.
