The Diploma in Arts and Theatre Management (DATM) is a unique programme which provides training in both arts management and technical production for the arts and theatre industry. The programme covers both local and international perspectives in the arts and is designed to prepare you for an exciting career in the arts and cultural sectors. Students will acquire many sought-after skills such as stage and production management, arts marketing, lighting design, production design, and front-of-house and arts facilities management.

Practical training at our purpose-built cultural Centre, The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC), forms an integral part of your learning journey. In addition, industry attachment with established arts organizations and theatre companies allows you to gain real-world experience.

Course Outcomes:

• Learn about the day-to-day operations of arts companies and arts venues
• Gain access to state-of-the-art theatre facilities to hone your skills as a technical specialist
• Visit arts organisations and universities around the world on our overseas study trips
• Undergo a 16-week industry attachment programme with organisations such as Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Resorts World Sentosa, TheatreWorks, ACT 3 International, and many other established events companies

DATM graduates can look forward to operational, administrative, and managerial positions in integrated resorts, arts-related organisations, and theatre and production companies. They can also take on technical roles in theatre productions.
