The building industry needs more design professionals with technical mastery in their discipline and advanced knowledge and skills in whole-building performance, collaboration, integrated design and digital methods.

This programme will provide at-work building design professionals with 'practice-focused' education and is driven by the need to improve the sustainability and affordability of buildings, which is best achieved by taking a holistic approach to integrated building design.

How do I plan my degree?

The certificate is comprised of 60 points including two compulsory courses and two optional courses.

There are flexible study options available, including part-time study and online learning to minimise on-campus time requirements.

Further study

Students who complete the certificate with a B Grade Point average, or better, may go onto the Master of Architectural Engineering, the Master of Engineering Studies or the Master of Engineering in Management.

Knowledge gained from this certificate will provide graduates with the skills to communicate complex design issues, options and solutions with clients, team members and other stake holders, including risks and their mitigation.
