¿Qué aprenderé?

This qualification will provide New Zealand business entities with people who have the skills and knowledge to manage and lead, and to achieve entity objectives, at a strategic level in a bi- and multi-cultural environment. Graduates will have the skills and knowledge needed for effective management and leadership, leading to increases in productivity.

Approved pathway to University

This programme has a stair-casing option to Massey University.

Career Pathways

Graduates with the NZ Diploma in Business (Leadership and Management) (Level 6) will have the skills and knowledge to work as a manager/leader in a range of strategic roles within New Zealand business entities.

Education Pathways

The NZ Diploma in Business (Leadership and Management) (Level 6) builds on from the NZ Diploma in Business (Leadership and Management) (Level 5), or equivalent skills and knowledge.

Achievement of this qualification may lead to:

  • Business qualifications at degree level
  • Other relevant industry qualifications at level 7 or above

Requerimiento de entrada

Para estudiantes internacionales

All applicants who are over 20 years will be considered for the programme.

Those who are under 20 years must have equivalent to New Zealand qualification:

  • A minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the National Qualifications Framework; AND
  • 50 credits at Level 1 or above with at least 12 credits each of three subjects plus a minimum of eight literacy credits at Level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo Māori; four credits must be in Reading and four credits must be in Writing
  • or equivalent to the above;
  • or New Zealand University Entrance; or
  • Successful completion of Level 5 New Zealand Diploma in Business

English Language Entry Requirement

Learners who have English as a second language must have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5.5 with no individual band score lower than 5.0 in a single test event, TOEFL Module-Based Test (pBT) Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE), TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT) Score of 79 or higher (with a writing score of 20), University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations FCE or CAE with a score of 47 or higher, and/or NZCEL Level 4 with academic endorsement or the equivalent; or complete two years study at a New Zealand secondary school and achieve either NCEA Level 3 or New Zealand University Entrance or both
