The qualification includes strands that allow graduates to apply business knowledge and skills in a range of specialised strategic contexts. Some strands can lead to further credentialing by professional bodies.

Satisfactory Completion
To satisfactorily complete the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 6) with strands in Accounting, Administration and Technology, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, Māori Business and Management, Marketing and Sales, and Real Estate, and be awarded this qualification for the Marketing and Sales Strands the student must successfully achieve:
A minimum of 120 credits in accordance with the Programme schedule for the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 6) with strands in Accounting, Administration and Technology, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, Māori Business and Management, Marketing and Sales, and Real Estate.
The student will normally be expected to complete the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 6) with strands in Accounting, Administration and Technology, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, Māori Business and Management, Marketing and Sales, and Real Estate full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years
