Programme overview

The MLitt is an alternative to the PhD if you already have a masters degree and want to complete a substantial research project. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. You may be able to further your research interests in the same subject as your first masters degree, or undertake research in a new area.

Subject overview

Museums and Cultural Heritage is an interdisciplinary programme with a particular focus on Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific. It draws on museums and heritage-related courses taught by Anthropology, Art History, History, Maori Studies and Sociology.
