In a world with increasingly scarce resources these decisions are crucial. That’s why economists are highly sought after in both the private and public sector.

Equivalent to New Zealand Year 13. Students must have achieved the IB Diploma (24 points). English Language Requirements: IELTS score 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher; TOEFL iBT score 80; Minimum overall score of 52 in CAE prior to 2015 or a score of 169 in CAE from 2015; or a score of 50 in Pearson (PTE); or B/B+ in Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS); or grade B in GIE.

All applicants need to meet AUT’s minimum entry requirements qualification equivalent to New Zealand year 13 or University Entrance.

Useful New Zealand school subjects

All subjects are useful, in particular Art History, Classical Studies, English, Geography, History, Media Studies and other languages.

Minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher; or equivalent; TOEFL iBT score of 80; Certificate in English for Academic Study (CertEAS) with B/B+ grade; GIE with B grade; CAE minimum overall score of 169; PTE minimum overall score of 50.
