For a developing country, the need for high quality transport and infrastructure facilities is vital to cater for both urban and rural development. The right policy and workable planning and engineering inputs are therefore very pertinent to the developing countries. To enhance professional under-standing of the link between transport services, land use and economic development, this MSc course in Transport Planning is tailored to the needs of developing nations.

To provide an understanding of the complex theories and principles of transportation plan as well as the scope and role of transportation planning in the management of growth and change.
To apply a range of analytical skills and techniques to address a range of complex transportation problems.

A Bachelor’s Degree with good honours from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or any other institution of higher learning recognised by the Senate; or
A qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and experience in the relevant field recognised by the Senate.
