The programme embodies both sound academic theory and professional practice. The combination of Compulsory Subjects and a wide range of Electives, including purchasing related subjects, reflects the multidisciplinary nature of the business that students in the programme can pursue.
Recognition & Prospects
Graduates with the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management who have fulfilled certain subject requirements are granted accreditation by The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and may apply for full membership. (Subject to review each year.)
Graduates with the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management are granted full exemption from the Qualifying Examination of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK).
Graduates with the PgD in Global Supply Chain Management are granted partial exemption from the Qualifying Examination of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK).
Graduates of the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management with two years' work experience in the purchasing/supply chain/logistics field or a related field are qualified to register as members of The Institute of Purchasing & Supply of Hong Kong (IPSHK).
Programme Structure
Students are provided with the core knowledge that is essential for all managers in the supply chain field, and in-depth knowledge in selected subjects to suit their needs and aspirations.
Part-time mode: 2.5 years, including optional summer terms
Full-time mode: 1.5 years, including an optional summer term
Each subject carries three credits and the GSCM Project carries six credits.

Candidates in senior management positions possessing other academic qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Priority will be given to applicants with relevant work experience.
If you are not a native speaker of English, and your Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is awarded by institutions where the medium of instruction is not English, you are expected to fulfil the following minimum English language requirement for admission purpose, unless otherwise specified by individual programmes concerned:
A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 for the Internet-based test or 550 for the paper-based test; OR
An overall Band Score of at least 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
