The PhD in Psychology program has been designed to provide intensive research training and to develop the capacity for a critical and scholarly approach to issues in each of the three specializations. Collaborative work allows students to link across focal areas to pursue the research questions they seek to address.

To be admitted to a PhD program, a student should hold either an appropriate master’s degree or students with a bachelor’s degree already registered in a master’s program may convert to PhD studies in year 2 of some of the master’s programs. Students will normally be expected to have attained an 80% average and have achieved significant research progress as determined by their supervisory committee. English Language Scores: IELTS - Minimum overall score of 6.5, with no subtest below 5.5; TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 80, with no subtest below 19; CAEL - Minimum overall score of 60, with 60 in writing, and no other subtest below 50; CAEL CE (Computer Edition), Minimum overall score of 60, with 60 in writing, and no other subtest below 50; PTE Academics - Minimum overall score of 60, with no subtest below 60.
