The Asper School of Business's Master of Science (MSc) in Management program is designed for students who want to pursue in-depth management studies and develop their research skills by working one-on-one with some of the best research scholars in North America. Our program requires that you complete a research thesis or practicum. Graduates of our MSc program are uniquely positioned to undertake doctoral studies, excel in staff/research/consultation positions in private or public sector organizations across Canada, or teach in smaller colleges in Canada or overseas.

The M.Sc. program, coupled with AACSB accreditation, has a research orientation, requires a thesis or practicum, has an in-depth curriculum in a particular discipline of Management, and involves one-on-one work with faculty mentors.

Other English language requirements accepted: TOEFL paper based score of 550; Achieve minimum scores of 4.5 in Reading, 4.5 in Listening, and 4.0 in Writing on the CanTEST (Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees); Achieve a minimum score of 6.5 based upon the Academic Module on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System); Achieve a minimum score of 80 on the MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) offered by the University of Michigan; Achieve a minimum grade of C in the University of Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.Achieve a score of 60 or more in the CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment); Achieve a minimum of 58% in the Pearson Test of English.Achieve a minimum of 65% in Level 5 of the direct entry English program (also known as Intensive Academic English Program orIAEP), as taught by the English Language Centre of the University of Manitoba.

Para estudiantes internacionales

Students must have a Honours Bachelor's degree in Management/business with a major in the same area or a similar area to that pursued in the MSc, or a degree from another Faculty with a closely related major.

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL - Achieve a minimum Internet-based -iBT (86; minimum score of 20 in each of reading, writing, listening and speaking categories)
  • IELTS - Achieve a minimum score of 6.5 in the Academic Module
  • PTE Academic - minimum 61 overall
