Our MASc degree program is for students who want to pursue advanced research.
Your work will advance knowledge in the field of electrical and computer engineering. You’ll study and work among a diverse cohort of MASc students from around the world. You will complete course work, seminars and defend your thesis in an oral examination under faculty supervision.

Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by UVic
Equivalent of a minimum “B” average over the last two years of your degree
Any requirements specific to your program of study
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): We require a minimum score of 90 from the internet-based TOEFL (IBT). You must also score at least 20 points each in the listening, speaking, reading and writing sections.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): We require minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. No individual component can have a score lower than 6.0.
MET (Michigan English Test): A score of 64 on the MET will be accepted as proof of English proficiency.
