¿Qué aprenderé?

These programs focus on grades seven to twelve, with an emphasis on secondary school.

You may choose to major in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics or Physics. In six years, you will complete an Honours degree in your major/first teachable subject, the requirements for a second teachable subject and your Bachelor of Education degree. Opportunities for field experiences will begin in your second year and continue throughout the program. You will take Child and Youth Studies and Education courses beginning in the first year of your program, allowing you to also explore your career interests.

You will choose your second teachable subject area from one of the following: Dramatic Arts, English, French, Geography, History, Mathematics, Health and Physical Education, Science - Biology, Science - Chemistry, Science - General, Science - Physics or Visual Arts.

Successful graduates of each program will be recommended to the Ontario College of Teachers for an Ontario Certificate of Qualification and Registration.

This program is also offered by Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Mathematics and Science.

Students must have Grade 12 graduation in an accredited high school. Applicants must have Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in your home country; academically rigorous grade 12 year; Minimum B- average (higher for some programs). Applicants who have successfully completed the IB diploma with the appropriate prerequisite subjects will be considered for admission. English proficiency requirements: IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0; TOEFL - overall 88, no band below 21; CAEL - overall 70, no band below 60; PTE - 58; IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program.
