¿Qué aprenderé?

The four-year Bachelor of Music Education degree is offered jointly by the Faculties of Media, Art, and Performance, and Education. Courses in music, music pedagogy and education complement individual study in an applied area. An extensive internship program, with supervised contact hours in the public school system, is unique to this program. Graduating students are granted the Professional "A" Certificate by the Provincial Department of Education and are qualified for positions as music educators and arts administrators.

Applicants must have completed High School (Secondary School) or partial post-secondary and are looking for a 1 year certificate, 2 year diploma, or 4 year degree. English language requirement: TOEFL: Internet Based: Overall 83; Reading: 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20; IELTS – Academic: Overall Band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 59 and minimum score of 59 in each area; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 85. Admission Requirements for high school students from the United States: SAT I (minimum score of 1100) or ACT (minimum ACT score of 24); Minimum 65% GPA unless otherwise indicated below; Class rank; Core curriculum requirements:4 years of English, 3 years of Math (Algebra I and above), 3 years of Laboratory Sciences, 3 years of Social Studies, A minimum of 16 credit hours.
