If you are a qualified engineer seeking to move into a management role or to specialise or update your skills, the Master of Engineering will build on your engineering undergraduate degree. You’ll develop specialised technical knowledge in structural engineering, gaining an understanding of how structures and buildings resist and transfer natural and other forces to the ground.
This program will allow you to build on your existing engineering undergraduate degree by developing specialised technical knowledge in structural engineering.

Graduates of the Master of Engineering (Structural Engineering) will have achieved the higher levels of specialisation necessary to excel in their chosen field. Professional engineering skills developed throughout the course will reflect current industry standards in order to provide graduates with enhanced opportunities for advancement in their careers. New opportunities to progress into areas such as research and innovation in their field will also be possible following the completion of this course.

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:
an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or
an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience or
the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).
IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing.
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
Application deadline: Jan/15 for Semester 1 and June/25 for semester 2.
