¿Qué aprenderé?

Australia’s leading Masters in Applied Positive Psychology explores the science of wellbeing with an evidence-based approach. You will gain a scientific understanding of how humans flourish and communities and institutions can be strengthened through positive psychology. The course will equip you to apply positive psychology principles in your professional and personal life.

The course is for students looking for a scientific approach to studying wellbeing and anyone in a professional setting wanting to increase productivity. Graduates with either professional experience or post-graduate study are welcome to apply. The program is ideal for teachers, HR professionals, entrepreneurs, consultants, health or law professionals.

On the Master of Applied Positive Psychology, you’ll be taught by a number of internationally recognised education experts, including Professor Lea Waters, Associate Professor Lindsay Oades, Associate Professor Dianne Vella-Brodrick, Associate Professor Aaron Jarden and Dr Peggy Kern. As students of MGSE researchers, you’ll experience evidence-based research and training with a rigorous scientific approach.

Principles of Positive Psychology

The Principles of Positive Psychology subject will explore the impetus behind the development of positive psychology as well as the theories and frameworks underpinning it.

Applications of Positive Psychology

This subject will examine the full range of positive interventions that can be delivered to individuals, groups and communities using face to face, on-line, coaching/counselling, smartphone applications and group formats.

Positive Psychology and Organisations

This subject will explore fundamental theories and frameworks from the fields of organisational behaviour and management together with new theories emerging in the fields of positive organisational behaviour and positive

CAREERS

You will learn how to create and evaluate positive and meaningful change and promote optimal leadership within organisations. Through your enhanced ability to improve positive leadership in workplaces, you could be ideally set for promotion into a role that leverages this skill.

Applicants need to successfully complete an undergraduate degree. English language requirements: IELTS (academic English Only) - 6.5 overall, with written 6.5 and no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (paper-based test) - 577 + TWE 4.5; TOEFL (internet-based test) - 79 + (Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13); Pearson Test of English – you need an overall score from a minimum between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50; Cambridge English, Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) – you need a Cambridge English Score from a minimum 176 with no skill below 169.

An undergraduate degree and at least five years of documented relevant professional experience, or
An undergraduate degree and at least 100 points of relevant postgraduate study, or
An undergraduate degree, at least 50 points of relevant postgraduate study, and at least two years of documented relevant professional experience

TOEFL (paper-based test): 600 +, TWE 5.0;

Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 185 + no less than 185 in Writing and 169 in each other skill.
