An honours degree is a one-year program that builds upon undergraduate study by introducing the challenge of an extended research project.
There are many reasons we encourage geography, environment and population graduates to apply for an honours year. You might want to build a necessary foundation for postgraduate research at masters and doctorate levels. You could be seeking answers to environmental questions no one else has asked. Perhaps you’re pursuing advanced communication skills and subject knowledge to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Our prerequisite for honours study is at least a credit standard in a specified major. Applications are called for by Departments/Disciplines in October and November each year.
