This qualification is for people who want to work in the music industry in a range of business roles such as a music/artist manager, music promoter, publisher, merchandiser or licensing manager.

You can apply specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work and/or that of a team. You will learn how to establish a music industry career, develop a small business, manage and exploit copyright arrangements, follow health and safety procedures and exercise music knowledge and artistic judgement.

From the specialist and elective units you can develop specialist skills related to music business such as artist, event or venue management, financial, licensing, marketing, promotions or publishing management. You can also employ critical thinking and writing skills, use ICT and digital media tools.
