¿Qué aprenderé?

This program will teach you to be a digital media design specialist in interactive media, digital video, sound design/soundtrack or digital environments.

You will explore the core disciplines of the field and then have the ability to specialize in visual effects and compositing, motion graphics, interactive and mobile media design, or sound design.

You will gain a solid grounding in contemporary digital media design theory and practice and will explore how digital content can be planned, produced, applied and integrated.

Electives and program structure

You will be introduced to a range of digital media fields and then specialize in Interactive, Digital Video, Sound or Digital Environments.

Year 1

Learn about digital media via a comprehensive overview of its theory and practice. You will learn the foundations of graphic and digital media design. You’ll also develop strategies to enable an understanding of digital media platforms, which will provide a navigation point used in later years of specialization.

Year 2

You will study advanced theories, ideas and concepts of digital media design while starting to gain advanced skills in your chosen area of specialization. The focus will be on studio practice.

Year 3

You will complement your growing skills and knowledge with a focus on industry by way of specialization in your chosen field with an emphasis of individual, collaborative and conceptual development. You will undertake an internship or studio project in the final semester that will allow you to demonstrate a professional and real-world approach to what you have learned over the previous years of study.

Further study

High School Diploma with SAT: GPA 2.5 and a minimum SAT score of 1500 (out of 2400) or 1060 (out of 1600), GPA 3.0 and a minimum SAT score of 1560 (out of 2400) or 1130 (out of 1600), GPA 3.5 and a minimum SAT score of 1610 (out of 2400) or 1160 (out of 1600). High School Diploma with ACT: GPA 2.5 and a minimum ACT composite score of 21, GPA 3.0 and a minimum ACT composite score of 23, GPA 3.5 and a minimum ACT composite score of 24. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.0 (no band less than 5.5); TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT): Overall score 60 (with minimum score of 10 in Reading, 9 in Listening, 16 in Speaking and 19 in Writing); Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): 50 (no communication band less than 42); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)- 169 with no less than 162 in any component.

To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:

  • IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
  • TOEFL (Paper Based Test): minimum score of 580 (TWE 4.5)
  • TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 79 (with minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing)
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
