¿Qué aprenderé?

This double degree is designed to enable students to develop critical thinking, creativity, initiative and business acumen to succeed in today's rapidly changing society.

It will broaden students' understanding of themselves, their community and the larger world as well as provide them with a foundation in the disciplines which constitute business studies, together with the opportunity for in-depth study and valuable industry experience.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Apply an international perspective and a global outlook to industry.
  • Apply creative thinking and innovation to generate and evaluate complex ideas and provide sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges.
  • Collaborate in team project settings to produce measurable outcomes and evaluate team processes.
  • Demonstrate cross-cultural awareness, including Indigenous cultural competence in a range of professional contexts.
  • Obtain, analyze, interpret and communicate information using trans literacy skills, including technology, information literacy and numeracy proficiency.
  • Reflect on and evaluate personal practices and performance feedback to identify opportunities for learning in the context of employment and life.

Course structure

Students are required to complete: 16 Arts units, comprising of 4 Core Arts units and a 12-unit Arts Major; plus 16 Commerce units, comprising of 7 Core Commerce units, and an 8-unit Commerce Major and one elective unit. Students who wish to take the Accounting major (11 unit major) in this double degree will need to consult the Course Information Hub to ensure the additional units required for accreditation fit within the course.

This double degree provides students with lifelong transferable skills, equipping them for employment in a wide range of professions.

English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.

  • Experience Based Entry Scheme.

  • Pearson English Test (PTE) Academic - 52, with no scores less than 50. (Results are valid for two years only.)

  • TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) - Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better.
